FFL Transfers
Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to get in touch with E-Commerce Arms to inform them about your intention to transfer a firearm. You can reach out to them via phone 844-321-4867 (321-GUNS) or email customerservice@ecommercearms.com to discuss the details of the transfer and any specific requirements they may have.
Step 2: Gather Required Information
To facilitate the transfer process, we will need to gather some essential information, including:

- Your personal details (name, address, contact information)

- Details of the firearm you intend to transfer (make, model, serial number)

- Any pertinent documentation related to the firearm (purchase receipt, ownership documents)
Having this information readily available will streamline the transfer process and ensure everything moves smoothly.
Step 3: Arrange for Firearm Shipment
Once you’ve coordinated with E-Commerce Arms and gathered all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to their location. Ensure that you comply with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.
Step 4: Visit E-Commerce Arms for Background Check
For firearms not purchased from E-Commerce Arms, transfers are $25 for the first firearm and $10 for each additional on same background check, up to 4. Any additional on the same background check, up to 10, are free.
Step 5: Complete Transfer Paperwork
Before leaving E-Commerce Arms premises, we will ensure that you complete all necessary paperwork related to the firearm transfer. This will include filling out your portion of a 4473 transfer form, providing identification, and signing any required documents.
Step 6: Unfortunately, wait.
E-Commerce Arms will submit your background check to CBI. After background check approval, Colorado law requires a 3 day waiting period from the time the CBI background check is approved. If your CBI check is delayed, we will contact you when the final decision is received.
Step 7: Take possession of your new firearm!
Once all paperwork is completed, the background check has been approved and the legally required 3 days has passed from the time of approval, you will be able to take possession of the transferred firearm.
